Cane toads and what to do about them...

by lewie on January 6th, 2010

There has been some discussion about the advancing cane toads. They are coming and are or soon will be at BHC.
I'd like to organize a toad busting demonstration evening with someone like Peter Stone to come and show us how to identify and eliminate these dangerous freeloaders who are moving in.
Peter predicts that there will be mass extinction of species and plaques of things such as rats and mice due to the elimination of native predators such as owls, goannas and snakes.
He has lots of useful info and it could be handy to see if he'll run a workshop at BHC or somewhere there are definitely some toads to see catch and kill.
who's up for it and what date would you all like.
below is a link to the NTs cane busters website.

Thanks Lewie, I'd like to know about the critters and what to do about them - the more information the better. In the hatching season Greg and Anna's yard in Brisbane jumps with baby canetoads.

I'm up for it any time - preferrably weekends. helen
