Pests and Predators

After twenty-six years of encouraging and protecting the wildlife, we have succeeded all too well. Gardens and orchards must be protected from bush turkeys, bower birds, white cockatoos, rosellas, parrots, wallabies, paddymelons, possums, flying foxes, bush rats, as well as any number of smaller creatures. Chooks and any other small animals must be protected from carpet snakes, goannas, eagles and owls. Living compatibly with wildlife, and still managing to eat, is not all the "peace love and mung beans" trip that some newcomers imagine!

This page is a collection of blog posts with ideas about living with the wildlife.
